NorthWind Consulting Services, LLC is typically retained by a company to assess the critical path in a system breakdown, including the process, security, system and people involved. By pinpointing a breakdown and immediately fixing it, the client is saved hours of troubleshooting and prolonged downtime. Consultants then turn towards developing a uniform approach to optimizing distributed computer systems.

Working in partnership with management, NorthWind's expert staff will assess the environment; collect comprehensive data about system use; analyze existing systems, policies and procedures; articulate problems; evaluate options to achieve goals, and then formulate a detailed project plan and implementation schedule. This plan describes not only what, when and why something will happen, but as importantly what personnel will be involved and how they will be impacted. As part of its recommendations, NorthWind also identifies the return on investment the client can expect.

Services may include knowledge and technology transfer, establishment of systems operations standards, creation of business practices that will improve information systems performance, event management, security and other aspects of technical operations. NorthWind also can augment an organization's staff for whatever period necessary.
